In this article you will learn how you can transfer your data
from your mobile to your personal computer and vice versa. First
of all I would like you to know that there are basically three
methods for the transfer of data between mobile and PC.
- Bluetooth
- Infrared
- Data cable
In my this article I will explain all the three methods which
are used for transfer of data between mobile and PC.
How To Transfer data between Mobile and
PC using "Bluetooth"
Things required :
Bluetooth dongle, Bluetooth dongle driver, Mobile having
Bluetooth feature
First off all install the driver of Bluetooth dongle. This
driver will be in the CD which you will receive when you will
purchase Bluetooth dongle from the market. This driver will act
as an intermediate between your mobile device and PC.
Once this driver has been installed then put the Bluetooth
dongle in the USB drive. Now you will notice a small icon in
your PC in your taskbar.
Now you are almost ready for the transfer of data. Your PC can
now send and receive electronic Bluetooth signals.
Now if your want to transfer data from mobile to PC then open
that particular file and go to option choose send from option. A
sub-menu will open choose send via Bluetooth from the sub-menu.
After that your mobile will start searching all those devices
which can send and receive Bluetooth signals.
Then your mobile will generate a list. In that list you can find
that your PC name will be there. Select your PC name and then it
will start sending the file(s) from your mobile to PC.
Now let’s see how you can send the data from your PC to mobile.
Right click on that icon which appeared in you taskbar. Select
send a file from the menu which appears when you right clicked
that icon. Then follow the instructions and you can easily send
the data from your Pc to your mobile.
How To Transfer data between Mobile and
PC using "Infrared"
Things required:
Infrared dongle,
Infrared driver, Mobile with infrared feature.
First of all install the Infrared driver
software and plug in the Infrared dongle into your USB port. The
driver software will be in the CD which you will get when you
will purchase the Infrared port from the market. Once you have
inserted the Infrared dongle in the USB port of your PC a small
icon will appear in the taskbar.
Now your PC can send and receive infrared
signals which will help to communicate with your mobile.
Now if you want to transfer data from
mobile to PC then right click on the small icon which appeared
in the taskbar and select “turn on”. Open that particular file
in your mobile which you want to send. Go to option choose send
from option. A sub-menu will open choose send via Infrared from
the sub-menu. After that your mobile will start emitting
Infrared rays. Place your mobile near the Infrared port of your
Pc. Now your mobile will start sending the data.
Now if your want to send any file from your Pc to mobile then
turn on the Infrared in your mobile. Right click on the small
icon that appeared in the taskbar and select send a file. Place
your mobile near the infrared port of your Pc and once again the
transfer will begin.
How to transfer data
between Mobile and PC using "Data Cable"
things required:
Data cable, Software of your mobile.
Data Cable is a cable that connects your mobile with your PC.
This cable is sometimes provided with the mobiles phones when
you purchase them. If the cable is not provided then you can
purchase it from the market. Different mobile phones have
different type of cables so be careful while you are purchasing
the data cable for your mobile phone. Some Data Cables may
connect with the serial port of your Pc and the other may
connect with the USB port.
Now install the Software of your mobile which is in the CD
provided to you at the time of purchase of your mobile phone.
For NOKIA PC-suit is provided. Once this Software has been
installed connect your mobile with the Data Cable whose other
end is already connected to the PC. Now with this software you
can easily transfer data from your mobile to your system and
vice versa.
NOTE : if you have SONY ERICSSON walkman sets or K-series
then you don't need to install the software just connect the
cable with the mobile and the PC. A new disk drive will appear
on your PC which will be your mobile phone drive. Just copy and
paste data into that drive.
